b'Got Bermudagrass / St Augustine ?Converting from conventional lawn grasses requires special attention . Alien bermudagrass is persistent and invasive . It can reproduce from seeds, runners and rhizomes . If tilled or chopped and not completely removed, runners aggresively take root and re-grow . But with equally aggresive persistance, bermudagrass is possible to completely remove. St Augustine sod is more easily converted using a tomahawk (see p 83), sodcutter or other methods . Rake up and remove surface runners .Mr. Smarty Plants:www.wildflower.org/expertBermudagrass Management Guidelines: http://www.ipm.ucanr.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn7453.htmlSherman JunctionAustin San Antonio BanderaDallas Round Rock Hill Country North Texas16n ativEa MEricanS EEd 325 446 3600'
