Named for its peppery smell. Bees love the small, 4-petaled white flowers. Host plant for the Checkered White (Pontina protodice) and Great Southern White (Ascia monuste) butterflies. It has extensive medicinal uses, ranging from treating vitamin A & C deficiencies to digestive pains. Good for skin rashes, respiratory issues, and rheumatic pain.
