Large Flower Coreopsis is a native perennial wildflower in the aster family. It has very showy bright yellow flowers  2-3" in diameter and blooms from late spring to late summer. Natural range throughout eastern halves of Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas to the Atlantic coast.

It prefers a sunny location in well-drained soil in the drier portion of the landscape. Easily grown from seed, readily self-sows. Tolerant of deer, rabbits, drought, sandy, and granite soils. Good for wildlife habitat restoration in tallgrass prairies. Attractive to humans, bees and butterflies alike.
