Three Flower Melic is an elegant, shade loving bunch-grass with striking blooms and seed heads. It grows in well-drained, rocky or sandy, acid or calcareous loam soils and is palatable to a range of livestock and wildlife. As a cool season perennial grass, it provides essential ecosystem services during the months our warm season native grasses are at rest. Best if it is planted into a well prepared, weed-free seedbed in the early fall months.
