Four-wing Saltbush is almost exclusively used for erosion control. Its roots can reach depths of 20 ft. It ranges in height from 1–8 feet and, depending on your environmental conditions, can be compact and shrubby to tree-like with open branches. The flowers are somewhat nondescript, but the fruits are noteworthy. The fruits will be found only on the female plants and will be 4-winged and a gold/tan color.
