Prairie Wildflowers Illustrated

Enjoy learning with the added value of a guide in hand for exploring the wide variety of native wildflowers growing in Tandy Hills Natural Area and beyond. Debora Young, a neighbor of the hills, has identified over 80 species and documented each with descriptions accompanied by her beautiful illustrations. Tandy Hills Natural Area is a 160-acre remnant prairie less than 5 miles from downtown Fort Forth. Bounded by I-30 on the north and encircled by residential neighborhoods, Tandy Hills is noted for its remarkably complete collection of prairie flora. Join us in supporting Friends of Tandy Hills Natural Area and consider attending one of the many exciting events such as the annual Prairie Fest (scheduled for Saturday, April 25th from 11am to Sunset, 2015).
