This is a very interesting native with grass like leaves and light green spike blooms. Produces underground bulb and does not need much rain to survive. Native to limestone soils, rocky grasslands and openings in juniper-oak woodlands of East Texas to South Texas plains and through Edwards Plateau to Trans-Pecos in NM and TX.
