Rolling terrain covered with pines and oaks, and rich bottomlands. 36”-50” rain uniformly distributed throughout the year. Acidic soils, mostly pale to dark gray sands or sandy loams. Elevations 200’- 500’ ASL. National lumber production of fast growing renewable pine timber. Savannas and tallgrass prairies also occur when maintained by fire.
